Our roots in Colorado begin with Colorado Investment & Realty, established in 1887. Through a series of mergers throughout the years the firm has changed names and ownership. A significant merger in 1977 created Cotton, Jones & Watson, Inc. In 1992 Cotton, Jones & Watson, Inc. merged with the Baker Agency to form Riedman Insurance. In 2001 Riedman Insurance merged with Brown & Brown Insurance of Colorado, Inc. a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc.
